CONSULTANT PROFILE
KEITH NICHOLLS
BA (HONS) Business Studies
I have been involved with quality requirements and systems for over 30 years. His initial contact with QA/QC was gained in Royal Air Force procurement where he dealt with MOD standards that were to become the basis for BS5750 and subsequently ISO9000.
Following 10 years service with the RAF I worked in industry, initially in Production Management related roles. In 1985 I carried out my first successful quality project in accordance with BS5750. This led to a demand for my project management expertise in all subsequent roles culminating in my largest project to date being for Nacanco Ltd (now Pechiney Packaging Ltd), which included six UK sites. The project was carried out in 12 months with successful third party accreditation being achieved by all sites within one week.
In 1992, following this success, I moved to consultancy work on a full time basis. I gained DTI approved status and undertook projects on my own behalf and as an Associate of Salford University Business Services and RTM Consultants (Oakham).
In 2001 I moved to the South of England and joined Southern Management Services Ltd (Bournemouth) as an associate consultant. In 2002 I set up PANIC Training and Consultancy with my current partner, but continued to carry our project management work for SMS Ltd and other managing consultancies as an associate.
I have experience of a variety Management System sector schemes.
I am NEBOSH qualified and an advisor on Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001).
I am also an Assessor for a major Certification Body specialising in ISO9001, 14001 & OHSAS18001.
